“Change is the only constant in life” - Heraclitus, Greek philosopher
I’m facing a big decision to take - I have two job offers on the table, and I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of each. It's moments like these where I find the most benefit in taking some time for myself and journaling out my thoughts. And of course, whilst enjoying a fine cigar. Today I’m sitting at Café Franco's in front of the iconic Davidoff of London shop on a beautiful cold and sunny day.
Here is what I’m smoking this month! A Davidoff Nicaragua 5 / 48 Box Press. The beautiful dark wrapper and box press caught my eye immediately when I walked into the Davidoff of London shop across the street. The smell is rich and earthy, with hints of leather and spice. The draw is smooth and effortless, and the flavors are complex and balanced. I taste notes of coffee and cocoa with a subtle sweetness that lingers on the palate. It's the perfect cigar to savour as I contemplate my next steps.
But enough about my decision-making process - let's talk more about this cigar. The Davidoff Nicaragua Box Press is a medium-to-full-bodied cigar, with a blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos from Estelí, Condega, and Ometepe. The box press gives it a unique shape, which not only looks cool but also creates a more concentrated and intense smoke. It's a cigar that's perfect for those who want to experience the full flavor of Nicaraguan tobacco.
In times of stress and uncertainty, I find the act of journaling can be a cathartic and transformative experience. However, sometimes is hard to find the time to stop and reflect. As I’m trying to figure out my next move, I find the ritual of smoking a cigar is a great gateway for reflection, as it by its nature forces you to slow down and take some time for yourself.
If you're ever in London and looking for a great cigar and a great place to smoke it, I highly recommend checking out Café Franco's and the Davidoff of London shop. And if you're facing a tough decision like I am, take some time to journal out your thoughts and enjoy a fine cigar. It may just help you make the right choice.
But for now, I want to hear from you, Have you ever journaled before? How do you feel about journaling? How do you approach making major decisions in your life?
Let me know in the comments section below, but for now, I will say thank you so much for being here and I hope you have a great day.
